Federal Skilled Worker

This program is for skilled workers with foreign work experience who want to immigrate to Canada permanently. For this application, it is required that you have proficiency in one or both of Canada’s official languages i.e., English or French, relevant work experience, and education. 
It is a point-based immigration program, with points awarded on the basis of Age, Language Proficiency, Education, Work Experience, and Adaptability.

Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents. For this application, it is required that you have a minimum of 1 year of relevant Canadian work experience, in the last 3 years before the application. Work experience need not be continuous. Work experience must be while on temporary resident status in Canada with authorization to work.
It is a point-based immigration program, with points awarded on the basis of Age, Language Proficiency, Education, Work Experience, and Adaptability.

Federal Skilled Trades Class

The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents based on being qualified in a skilled trade. This program is for those, who are qualified in a skilled trade and have at least 2 years of work experience in a skilled trade within the 5 years before the date of application. To qualify under this program, you must have a valid job offer of full-time employment for a total period of at least 1 year or a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial, or federal authority.

It is a point-based immigration program, with points awarded on the basis of Age, Language Proficiency, Education, Work Experience, and Adaptability.

Canada has 10 provinces and 3 Territories and each province and territory has its own “streams” (immigration programs that target certain groups) and requirements. Each province and territory manages its own Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Some PNP streams require a job offer in their province and some do not.

You can become a sponsor if you are: at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, a person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act, or a permanent resident. If you are a Canadian citizen living outside Canada, you must show that you plan to live in Canada when your sponsored relative becomes a permanent resident. You cannot sponsor someone if you are a permanent resident living outside of Canada. There is no minimum income requirement for sponsoring your spouse, or common-law partner to Canada.

Section A25(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) allows foreign nationals who are inadmissible or who are ineligible to apply in an immigration class, to apply for permanent residence, or for an exemption from a requirement of the Act, based on humanitarian and compassionate (H&C) considerations. Applying for H&C consideration is an exceptional measure. Humanitarian and Compassionate. applications can override criminal or medical inadmissibility.

If you are a convention refugee or person in need of protection, you can make a claim for refugee protection at any port of entry in Canada, be it a Seaport, Airport, or land Border crossing. Claims can also be made from within Canada. Family members can be included in your application.
